How do I add a subdomain to my hosting account?

Add a subdomain to your hosting account:

1. Login to http://dashboard.brownrice.com with an email address that we have on file.

2. Click -> VPS Hosting -> yourwebaddress.com Manage (green button)  -> Web Sites -> Add new Web Site or Subdomain to this VPS

3. Follow instructions.

Now Add the DNS entry for your subdomain:

1. Click -> DNS 

2. Select your domain name and click -> Manage DNS

3. Click -> Edit DNS Records -> Add DNS Record

4. Add your subdomain in the Hostname Field.  i.e.  If you are setting up "dev.yourwebaddress.com" you'd enter "dev" in the Hostname field

5. Change the Type a CNAME

6. Enter your domain name in the Address field.   i.e.  If you are setting up "dev.yourwebaddress.com" you'd enter "yourwebaddress.com" in the Address field

7. Save
